Does Your Website Have Any of These Problems?

do you own your website

Problem 1: Do You Own Your Website?

If your site was built on Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy’s website builder, or Weebly, you’re one missed payment (or one platform policy change) away from losing everything you paid for – your design, your content, your years of SEO work.

Wix – Sites are built entirely within Wix’s proprietary system. There’s no way to export the actual site or move it to another host – if a client stops paying or wants to leave, the site is gone. You can export some content, but not a functioning website.

Squarespace – Same lock-in model. The site lives entirely on Squarespace’s platform; there’s no self-hosting option. Cancel the subscription, lose the site.

GoDaddy Website Builder – (their drag-and-drop “Websites + Marketing” product – different from GoDaddy-hosted WordPress) – Proprietary builder, no export/migration path. Very common trap for small business owners who think they own a website because they “built it themselves.”

Weebly – (now part of Square) – Same story: closed platform, no portability. Increasingly being phased out/merged into Square’s ecosystem, which adds even more uncertainty for anyone still on it.

Solution: You own your website. You control where it lives.

Every website I create is built using WordPress.org, giving you full ownership and control of your website.

do you have login access

Problem 2: Do You Have the Login to Your Website and Domain?

What happens to your website if your web designer disappears?

Every year, small business owners lose access to websites they paid thousands of dollars for -not because anything went wrong with the site, but because the person who built it retired, got sick, passed away, or simply stopped answering the phone.

No login.

No password.

No idea who owns the domain. When it comes time to renew, update, or fix something, there’s no way in – and no way to even prove it’s yours. A website you can’t access isn’t an asset. It’s a liability waiting to expire.

Solution: You Have the Keys to Your Website.

Once your website has been completed according to our agreement and payment has been made in full, you receive the important login information for your website, hosting, and domain.

You are never left dependent on me to access a website you paid for. If I retire, become unavailable, or you simply choose to work with someone else, you will have the access needed to manage, maintain, or transfer your website.

good seo but no conversions

Problem 3 : Your Website Ranks High on Google. But Is It Generating Leads?

Ranking high on Google is important, but rankings alone don’t grow your business.

If people are finding your website but leaving without calling, filling out a form, or taking the next step, that traffic isn’t turning into opportunity.

A website shouldn’t just be easy to find. It should give visitors a reason to stay, engage, and take action.

Solution: Turn Website Visitors Into Potential Customers.

Getting found on Google is only the first step. Your website also needs to capture attention, build trust, and guide visitors toward taking action.

I design websites with conversion in mind, using strategic content, strong calls to action, thoughtful design, and interactive elements that encourage visitors to engage instead of simply scrolling past. SEO brings them to your website.

pretty website is pretty insecure

Problem 4: Is Your Website Secure or Does it Just Look Good?

A beautiful website doesn’t necessarily mean a secure website. Outdated plugins, software, and neglected updates can leave your site vulnerable to security problems.

Good web design is what your visitors see. Proper maintenance and security protect what they don’t.

Solution: Your Website Can Look Professional and Be Secure From Hackers.

I don’t just focus on how your website looks. I also focus on what’s happening behind the scenes.

Your website is built with security in mind, including proper updates, backups, security monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.

My goal is to help keep your website protected, updated, and running properly while you focus on your business.

My Qualifications

I bring a unique combination of marketing, technology, design, and sales experience to every project. I hold a four-year business degree with a major in Marketing, along with two associate degrees in Computer Programming & Analysis and Computer Information Technology. This spring of 2027, I will also earn my certificate in Graphic & Web Design, adding formal design training to my marketing and technical background.

Beyond my education, I bring many years of hands-on experience in sales and marketing, along with the perspective of an artist. That means I understand more than how to make a website look good. I understand the technology behind it, the marketing strategy that drives it, the sales process that turns interest into action, and the visual elements that capture attention. Marketing. Sales. Technology. Design. Creativity. That is a combination of skills you would normally expect from an entire agency, all brought together in one person.
